Description
The Actisense PRO-BUF-2 is an intelligent, RINA type approved NMEA 0183 buffer built for larger leisure vessels and commercial shipping. It takes data from a single source and distributes it as amplified, isolated streams across twelve outputs, so every listener on the network receives a clean signal at the correct voltage. Two OPTO-isolated inputs and twelve ISO-Drive isolated outputs give complete protection against ground loops, the leading cause of failure in NMEA 0183 systems.
Alongside the NMEA 0183 ports the PRO-BUF-2 offers a bi-directional isolated serial port and an Ethernet port, allowing NMEA 0183 data to be streamed over a network and the unit to be configured through any web browser regardless of operating system. Predefined modes are selected simply by hard-wiring the mode inputs, while User Configuration Mode unlocks advanced sentence filtering, routing and automatic baud rate matching.
Housed in rugged 316 stainless steel with two-part pluggable screw terminals, an alarm relay and diagnostic LEDs, the PRO-BUF-2 mounts to a bulkhead or DIN rail and is ready to install straight out of the box.
