Description
The Oceanic Systems 3416 DC Current Shunt measures direct currents from -1200 A to +1200 A and provides a low millivolt output proportional to the current passing through it. It is intended to be read by a suitably equipped Oceanic Systems measuring device such as the 3410 NMEA 2000 DC Monitor, giving accurate readings of high charge and discharge currents.
Rated for larger installations than the 500 A 3415, the 3416 is ideal where high current banks, inverters, thrusters or large charging sources are present. Wired in series with the main DC conductor, it lets the DC Monitor calculate current, state of charge and energy consumption. It is a passive component with no active electronics for dependable long term service.
