Description

The Outboard Pilot Cable Steer Pack is an MFD autopilot add-on designed for boats up to 30 ft with a single cable-steered outboard motor. It supplies everything needed in one kit: a Point-1 heading and GPS sensor, the NAC-1 autopilot computer, the HELM-1 cable-steer helm drive unit, a dash-mount Standby/Auto button and the Micro-C network components.

The HELM-1 drive lets the system steer a cable-steered outboard without converting to hydraulics, while the NAC-1 computer uses Simrad Virtual Rudder Feedback to avoid the need for a separate feedback sensor on planing boats. Once installed, the pack delivers hands-free heading hold, automatic turn patterns and route following, all controlled from a compatible Simrad multifunction display over NMEA 2000.
