Description
The NAIS-500 is a Class B AIS transponder that lets your vessel both see and be seen by other AIS-equipped traffic. It transmits your position, course and speed while receiving the same data from surrounding ships, presenting nearby targets directly on a compatible Simrad, Lowrance or B&G chartplotter for clearer situational awareness in busy waters and reduced visibility.
Supplied with the GPS-500 antenna for an accurate position fix, the unit connects to your display over NMEA 2000 and also offers NMEA 0183 and USB. The compact, fully waterproof housing keeps installation simple at the helm or below deck, making it a straightforward collision-avoidance upgrade for sail and power boats alike.
