Description

The Simrad DST810 is a smart through-hull multisensor that supplies depth, heel-corrected speed through water and water temperature from a single 235 kHz plastic transducer. An integrated attitude sensor measures heel and trim and uses that data to correct boat speed automatically, so the reading stays accurate as the vessel heels, with speed updated 5.7 times per second and heel and trim at 10 Hz.

All speed calibrations and configuration are stored in the sensor itself rather than the display, so settings are retained even if the chartplotter is changed. A built-in Bluetooth interface lets you calibrate the transducer from a mobile device. The DST810 simply tees into a NMEA 2000 backbone, presenting a clean source of depth, speed, temperature, heel and trim to compatible Simrad, B&G and Lowrance displays.

What does the DST810 measure?
From a single through-hull sensor the DST810 provides depth, heel-corrected speed through water and water temperature, plus heel and trim from its integrated attitude sensor.
How does heel correction improve speed accuracy?
The built-in attitude sensor measures how far the boat is heeling and automatically corrects the speed-through-water reading, so the speed stays accurate when the vessel is heeled over.
How is the DST810 calibrated?
Speed calibration and configuration are stored in the sensor itself, and calibration is carried out wirelessly over the built-in Bluetooth interface using a mobile device.
How does the DST810 connect to my displays?
It simply tees into a NMEA 2000 backbone and presents depth, speed, temperature, heel and trim to compatible displays. Its NMEA 2000 load equivalence number (LEN) is 4.
