Description
The Simrad HS40 is the wireless companion to the RS40 fixed-mount VHF radio. It duplicates the radio's display and controls so you can make and receive calls, change channels, monitor AIS and even initiate DSC distress functions from anywhere on board, with a wireless working range of up to 70 metres in line of sight. Up to two HS40 handsets can be paired with a single radio, and with a handset connected the radio also doubles as an on-board intercom.
The handset is submersible to IPx7 and uses a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery that charges by simply placing it in its cradle, thanks to contactless inductive charging. A clear monochrome LCD matches the look of the RS40, making the HS40 an intuitive portable extension of your radio.
