Description
The Simrad AC80A is a professional autopilot drive computer for analogue or proportional control of a rudder or thruster. It drives the steering system using a galvanically isolated analogue voltage or low-level current output (4-20 mA), with support for frequency, voltage or current angle rudder feedback, digital drive handshake and an external mode input.
Part of the Simrad AP60 and AP70/AP80 autopilot family, the AC80A includes a built-in CAN-bus (SimNet) supply and four channels of IEC 61162-1 (NMEA 0183) receive and transmit for integration with compatible navigation and steering equipment.
