Description
The Garmin CM599LH is the pocket-mount version of the high-power 599LH CHIRP transducer, a popular choice for boat builders. It fits flush within a custom pocket cut into the hull or keel, giving all the benefits of a thru-hull without the need for a High-Performance Fairing and with less drag. The 25-element broadband array sweeps a 28 to 60 kHz low band and a 130 to 210 kHz high band, for 112 kHz of total bandwidth from one transducer.
With 2 to 3 kW of dual-range transmit power the low band sounds to 10,000 ft, while the high band returns fine detail to 1,500 ft. Because the pocket sets the mounting angle, the CM599LH can accommodate any hull deadrise and suits fibreglass or metal hulls with any propulsion type. An integral depth and fast-response temperature sensor is built in. The transducer terminates in bare wires and requires the Garmin GSD 26 CHIRP sonar module, which connects to networked GPSMAP chartplotters.

What is a pocket-mount transducer?
A pocket-mount transducer fits flush within a custom pocket cut into the hull or keel. It gives the performance of a thru-hull without a High-Performance Fairing and with less drag, and is a popular choice for boat builders.
How does the CM599LH differ from the 599LH?
They share the same 25-element CHIRP array, 28-60 and 130-210 kHz bands, 2-3 kW power and 10,000 ft rating. The CM599LH is the pocket/keel-mount version, while the 599LH is an in-hull tank mount. The pocket-mount CM599LH reads depth and temperature.
Does the CM599LH need a sonar module?
Yes. It is a 2-3 kW bare-wire CHIRP transducer that requires the Garmin GSD 26 CHIRP sonar module, which connects to networked GPSMAP chartplotters.
What deadrise does the CM599LH suit?
It accommodates any deadrise angle, because the angle is set by how the pocket is built into the hull or keel.
Does the CM599LH read water temperature?
Yes. It includes an integral depth reading and a fast-response water-temperature sensor.
