Description
The Garmin AIS 300 is a black-box Automatic Identification System (AIS) Class B receiver that improves situational awareness by displaying nearby AIS-equipped vessels on a connected Garmin chartplotter. It receives both Class A and Class B AIS targets, helping you identify and track surrounding traffic and reduce the risk of collision in busy or low-visibility conditions.
Designed for concealed installation on a bulkhead below deck, the AIS 300 connects to a chartplotter over a NMEA 2000 network or NMEA 0183. It receives AIS information through a marine VHF antenna and can share a single antenna with an onboard VHF radio using the included RF interconnect cable, simplifying installation. The IPX7-rated housing withstands the marine environment.
