Description

The Garmin B265LH combines two transducer arrays in a single bronze thru-hull housing to deliver dual-band low and high CHIRP performance from one fitting. The low-frequency array sweeps a wide beam for deep-water searching, while the higher-frequency ceramic produces a narrow beam for crisp bottom and water-column detail. Rated to 1 kW and a maximum depth of 3000 feet, it provides exceptional deep-water performance with both wide-area search and fine bottom detail.

Built-in depth and temperature sensing comes as standard, and the flush-mounted housing suits hull deadrise angles up to 20 degrees without a fairing block. Designed for fibreglass and wood hulls, it pairs with CHIRP-capable Garmin sonar such as the GSD 26 professional module. The transducer is supplied with installation instructions, which should be followed carefully to avoid damaging your boat.

What sonar frequency does the Garmin B265LH use?
The B265LH operates at 42-65 kHz and 130-210 kHz (dual-band chirp (low + high)) with a transmit power of 1 kW (RMS).
How deep can the Garmin B265LH read?
The B265LH has a maximum depth of 3000 ft (914 m) under good conditions; actual depth depends on water conditions, bottom type and the sonar module used.
Which hull deadrise does this 0 degree-tilt B265LH suit?
This version has a 0 degree tilted element matched to hull deadrise angles of 0-20°, so the beam fires vertically without a fairing block.
How does the Garmin B265LH connect to my sonar?
The B265LH is supplied as a bare-wire transducer on a 39 ft (11.9 m) cable. A Garmin bare-wire to 12-pin sounder adapter (010-11613-10) is available where a plug connection is required.
Does the Garmin B265LH need a CHIRP sonar?
Yes. The transducer is designed for CHIRP-capable Garmin systems such as the GSD 26 professional module and GPSMAP xs/xsv combos; an adapter cable may be required for some models.
Does the Garmin B265LH measure water temperature?
Yes, the B265LH has a built-in water-temperature sensor in addition to depth.
