Description
The Garmin GHP Compact Reactor Hydraulic Autopilot System with GHC 20 and Shadow Drive provides GPS-stabilised self-steering for boats with hydraulic steering, complete with a colour helm instrument and the Shadow Drive manual-override sensor. It combines a course computer, an electronic control unit and a compact 1 litre electro-hydraulic pump, controlled from the supplied GHC 20 display.
The Shadow Drive sensor detects when the helm is turned by hand and suspends autopilot steering automatically, then lets you re-engage with a single button. Setup is guided by the on-screen Dockside and Sea Trial wizards, and installation should be carried out by a qualified marine engineer.
