Description
The Garmin GHS 20i is a wireless remote handset that turns a Garmin VHF 200i or 300i radio into a system you can operate anywhere on board. Supplied with a GWH 20 wireless receiver and a charging cradle, it frees you from cable runs and lets you take full radio control with you around the deck, with a wireless range of up to 100 m depending on installation. Up to three handsets can be paired with a single receiver, and they offer walkie-talkie style intercom between handsets for crew communication.
The handset is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that delivers up to 18 hours of use and recharges in around four hours in the supplied cradle. A belt clip is included so the handset can be carried hands-free, and both the handset and the GWH 20 receiver are IPX7 water-rated for the marine environment. The existing radio may require a software update to work with the GHS 20i.
