Description
The Garmin GMR 24 xHD is a 24 inch (61 cm) high-definition dome radar that pairs a 4 kW magnetron transmitter with a narrow 3.7 degree horizontal beamwidth, painting a precise, high-resolution image and resolving closely spaced targets at distance. Maximum range is 48 nautical miles, and dual selectable rotation speeds of 24 and 48 rpm balance power consumption against screen refresh rate.
Supplied with a 15 m interconnect cable, the radome connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters over the Garmin Marine Network. Dual range, dynamic auto gain and MARPA target tracking (with a heading sensor) aid collision avoidance and weather awareness, and the sealed IPX7 housing withstands the marine environment.
