Description
This is the pedestal, the rotating drive base, for a Garmin GMR 25kW xHD open-array radar. It is supplied without the antenna array or inter-connect cable, making it a replacement or service part for an existing high-power GMR xHD open-array installation. Add a Garmin 4 ft or 6 ft xHD open array to complete the scanner.
The 25 kW xHD platform is a magnetron pulse radar built for long-range offshore detection out to 72 nautical miles, with the high peak power needed to paint distant targets and weather. It supports MARPA target tracking and dual-range operation, and connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters over the Garmin Marine Network.
