Description
This is the pedestal, the rotating drive base, for a Garmin GMR 4kW xHD open-array radar. The antenna array and inter-connect cable are not included, so it is intended as a replacement or service part for an existing GMR xHD open-array installation. Fit one of Garmin's 4 ft or 6 ft xHD open arrays to complete the scanner.
The xHD platform is a magnetron pulse radar delivering 4 kW of peak transmit power and detection out to 72 nautical miles. It supports MARPA target tracking and dual-range operation, and connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters over the Garmin Marine Network.
