Description
The GPSMAP 8012 is a 12.1 inch glass-helm multifunction display from the original Garmin GPSMAP 8000 series. Its bright, anti-glare XGA touchscreen comes preloaded with a worldwide satellite-enhanced basemap and offers intuitive pinch-to-zoom and touch control, with a 10 Hz GPS, fed by the included external antenna, updating position and heading ten times per second.
Designed as the hub of an integrated helm, it networks over the Garmin Marine Network, NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 to add radar, networked sonar, autopilots, cameras and sensors. The display itself carries no internal sonar; fishfinding is added through a compatible Garmin sonar module on the network.
