Description

The Garmin Intelliducer is a plastic thru-hull smart sensor that adds depth and water temperature data to NMEA 0183 Garmin marine displays or chartplotters. Depth and temperature are processed inside the sensor and output on standard NMEA 0183 sentences, with no separate sounder module required, and one Intelliducer can feed up to three NMEA 0183 devices.

This version operates at 160 kHz with a 150 W (RMS) transducer, reads depths up to 900 ft (275 m) and is designed for hull deadrise of 0 to 12 degrees. The compact plastic housing fits a 51 mm (2 in) hull bore, and the unit is supplied with a 9 m (29 ft 6 in) power/data cable. It must be connected to a 9 to 33 VDC supply; follow the installation instructions carefully to avoid damaging your boat.

What does the NMEA 0183 Intelliducer do?
It is a thru-hull smart sensor that adds depth and water temperature data to NMEA 0183 Garmin displays or chartplotters, outputting standard NMEA 0183 sentences.
How many devices can it feed?
One Intelliducer can supply depth and temperature data to up to three NMEA 0183-compliant devices.
How deep will it read?
The 150 W transducer operates at 160 kHz and reads depths up to 900 ft (275 m), depending on water salinity, bottom type and conditions.
Does it need a power connection?
Yes. The NMEA 0183 Intelliducer must be wired to a 9 to 33 VDC supply using the supplied 9 m power/data cable, with a 2 A fuse.
