Description
The Garmin Montana 610 is a rugged, dual-orientation handheld GPS built for the trail, the road and the water. Its large 4 inch, glove-friendly touchscreen is easy to read in bright sunlight and switches automatically between portrait and landscape, while a high-sensitivity receiver with GPS and GLONASS support locks on quickly and holds position under heavy tree cover or in deep canyons.
A flexible dual-battery design runs on the supplied rechargeable lithium-ion pack or on three AA batteries, so you always have a power option in the field. The Montana 610 comes with a worldwide shaded-relief basemap and a microSD card slot for adding detailed TOPO and marine charts, and it carries an IPX7 water rating for confident use in wet conditions.
