Description
The Garmin GRID remote input device provides full keypad and joystick control of GPSMAP 8000 series and GPSMAP 8500 glass-helm chartplotters. It is ideal where a touchscreen alone is impractical, such as a flybridge or in rough conditions, giving you a rotary wheel, a precise joystick and dedicated keys to move through menus, make selections and switch between displays. The GRID does not have to connect to the display it controls; it can be assigned to any compatible unit on the same Garmin Marine Network.
The GRID connects to a Garmin device using a Garmin Marine Network cable and takes a 10 to 35 Vdc power feed. The joystick orientation can be rotated to suit the installation, and the fully gasketed, high-impact plastic housing is sealed to IPX7.
