Description
This Garmin power and data lead terminates in the standard 4-pin round connector used across many older Garmin marine displays. One pair of conductors carries DC power from the vessel supply, while the remaining conductors provide an RS232 serial link so the unit can exchange data such as waypoints and routes with a personal computer.
It is the correct factory part for replacing a lost or damaged cable, or for setting up a fresh installation. Bare-wire power connections allow it to be wired directly into the boat's switched DC circuit, while the serial connection supports configuration and data transfer using compatible PC software.
