Description
The Garmin VHF 300i is a black-box marine VHF system built for vessels that need flexible, multi-station communication. The transceiver mounts out of sight below deck and is controlled entirely from the supplied GHS 10 handset, which connects through a bulkhead pass-through plate alongside the included active speaker. Up to three handsets can be added so crew can talk between stations using the built-in intercom.
Selectable 1 W and 25 W transmit power and standard Class D digital selective calling deliver dependable communication and one-touch distress alerts once your MMSI is programmed, while a 30 W hailer handles dockside and onboard announcements. The system is NMEA 2000 certified and also supports NMEA 0183, so it can draw GPS position from the network for DSC position reporting and share DSC data with compatible chartplotters. The transceiver, handset and speaker are IPX7 water-rated for the marine environment.
