Description
The Garmin Cortex H1P is the portable, wireless version of the Cortex handset, letting you carry full control of the Cortex marine communications system anywhere on board. Through its colour touchscreen it operates the VHF radio, makes Class D DSC distress and direct calls and monitors SmartAIS collision and anchor-watch alerts, so the helm comes with you to the cockpit, foredeck or below.
The H1P links to the Cortex hub over a Wi-Fi network and runs on a rechargeable battery, with the supplied charging cradle keeping it ready between uses. It carries an IPX8 water rating for the marine environment and can be added alongside tethered H1 handsets to extend Cortex control to multiple stations.
