Description
The Garmin Class B Compact Drive Unit (v2) is a compact, self-contained linear drive for sailing vessels using a Garmin autopilot. It bolts to a quadrant or tiller arm and extends and retracts to steer the rudder, with an integrated position feedback sensor that removes the need for a separate rudder feedback unit on many installations.
Sealed to IP67 and regulated by the autopilot at 12 Vdc, it provides up to 6,900 N of intermittent thrust within a 254 mm stroke. The drive must be installed under deck and limited by physical rudder end stops, and it can be removed from its base for service when required.
