Description
The Garmin Compact Reactor 40 Hydraulic autopilot with GHC 50 brings precise, GPS-stabilised steering to boats with hydraulic helms. The Reactor 40 CCU is a solid-state course computer that senses heading, attitude and rate of turn to hold a course or follow a route with minimal wandering. This pack includes a compact electro-hydraulic pump that drives the steering cylinder, an electronic control unit and an audible alarm. Control is through the supplied GHC 50, a 5 in sunlight-readable colour touchscreen instrument with NMEA 2000, Wi-Fi and ANT+ connectivity. NMEA 2000 connectivity links the system to compatible Garmin chartplotters for waypoint and route navigation, and Dockside and Sea Trial wizards tune performance to your boat. A Shadow Drive sensor for automatic manual takeover can be added separately if required.

What type of steering does this autopilot suit?
It is designed for boats with hydraulic steering. The included compact pump connects into the hydraulic steering lines to move the steering cylinder.
What is the GHC 50?
The GHC 50 is Garmin marine autopilot instrument, with a 5 in sunlight-readable colour touchscreen and NMEA 2000, Wi-Fi and ANT+ connectivity for wired and wireless control.
What power supply is required?
The ECU and pump connect to a 12 to 24 Vdc supply through the supplied 40 A fuse, and the NMEA 2000 network is powered from a 9 to 16 Vdc source.
Is a Shadow Drive sensor included?
No. This pack does not include the Shadow Drive sensor; an autopilot disable switch is used for manual override, or the Shadow Drive sensor can be added separately.
