Description
The Simrad MARIS ECDIS900 MK15B is an IMO type-approved Electronic Chart Display and Information System for SOLAS vessels subject to ECDIS carriage requirements. This configuration is supplied as a 24-inch Windows-based flat-panel computer. Built by navigators for navigators, it combines precise navigation with comprehensive route planning, integrated chart ordering and updating, and radar overlay through a standard Windows PC interface.
The ECDIS900 supports ENC (Primar, IC-ENC), AVCS and ARCS (UKHO) charts with AIO overlay, S52 and INT1 presentation, and dual or triple ECDIS900 architecture for paperless navigation. Integrated chart management is available by email or internet, and the system can be extended with planning and safety functions such as parallel index, voyage planning with under-keel clearance, conning display and BNWAS interface. It is designed to meet IMO requirements and the additional regulations set by Flag States, Port State Control and vetting regimes.
