Description

The EGIS 7610-24 is a TH3-Series automatic charging relay (ACR) rated at 160A continuous for 24V electrical systems. It automatically combines a start and auxiliary battery when a charge source is present, then isolates them once charging stops, so the engine-start battery is always protected from being drained by house loads. Two independent start or engine-isolation inputs allow charge sources to be isolated when multiple engines or charge systems are active.

An ultra-low off-state current draw of 1.3mA (versus 7-10mA on typical ACRs) means it will not deplete batteries during extended downtime. A sealed enclosure, stainless-steel self-locking hardware and high-temperature materials allow mounting almost anywhere, while integrated thermal-overload protection and an optional shorted-cell lock-out guard the system against cascading faults. Voltage thresholds are set via top-side dip switches, and LED diagnostics report relay, voltage and start-isolation status. The unit ships with a Deutsch/Amphenol DT connector harness and also accepts Molex MX-150 and direct wire-lead connections.

What voltage system is the 7610-24 designed for?
The 7610-24 is built for 24V electrical systems, with an operating voltage range of 16-36 V DC. A 12V version (7610) is available for 12V systems.
How does it protect the start battery?
It automatically combines the start and auxiliary batteries when a charge source is present and isolates them when charging stops, so house loads cannot drain the engine-start battery. ACR closing voltage is 25.8-27.2 V DC and opening voltage is 24.2-25.6 V DC.
What is the off-state current draw?
Just 1.3 mA, compared with 7-10 mA on typical ACRs, so it will not deplete batteries even after extended downtime.
How is the relay wired?
It ships with a Deutsch/Amphenol DT connector harness and offers three connection options: the integral Molex MX-150 connector, the DT/AT harness, or direct wire leads.
