Description
The EGIS 8710-1500 is a single XD Series remote battery switch rated at 500A continuous (1500A cranking), used to connect or disconnect a battery remotely in 12V and 24V systems. A bi-stable solenoid design draws no current to hold either state, and a front-facing manual override knob lets you force the switch open or closed and lock it there.
Built for harsh environments, the unit is sealed to IP67/IP6K9K with stainless-steel studs and a Gore-Tex vent, and consumes just 1.3mA in its off state. The compact XD chassis is pin-for-pin compatible with legacy ML-Series bi-stable relays and can be linked to additional XD relays using the 8790/8791 busbars. Supplied with tinned flying leads.
