Description
The Raymarine Reverse Power Module is an output module for an EmpirBus-based digital switching system. It provides reversible-polarity power output, allowing the system to drive bidirectional loads such as DC motors, linear actuators, trim tabs and valves in either direction under software control. Working as part of the wider digital switching network, it takes its commands from the system master and replaces the conventional relays or contactors that would otherwise be needed to reverse a motor. Digital switching replaces conventional fuse and relay panels with a programmable, software-defined system, reducing wiring complexity while adding scheduling, monitoring and fault protection.
