Description
The Raymarine MCUv2 is the second-generation Master Control Unit for an EmpirBus-based digital switching system. It builds on the original MCU platform with dual auxiliary CAN-ports and RS485 ports, giving greater flexibility for interconnecting switching networks and integrating with other onboard systems. As the system master it runs the configured switching logic and links control modules, switch panels and monitoring devices that manage a vessel's DC electrical loads. Digital switching replaces conventional fuse boxes and relay panels with a programmable, software-defined system, reducing wiring complexity while adding scheduling, monitoring and fault protection. The system is configured using the second-generation Programming Interface V2.
