Description
The Icom IC-M423GE is a compact fixed VHF/DSC marine radio built for boat owners who want advanced functionality and dual-station control in a neat, modern package. Incorporating Icom's common Marine Family user interface, a rotary selector and directional keypad give quick, intuitive access to every function, while the high-contrast white backlit LCD and laser-cut keypad complement contemporary helm designs.
Built-in active noise cancelling technology cuts background noise by up to 90% on received audio and 30% on transmitted audio for clear communication in noisy conditions, and a 10 W amplifier drives an external PA speaker for public address and foghorn duties. A built-in GPS receiver and Class D DSC provide position reporting and continuous Channel 70 monitoring for safety at sea, and the optional HM-195GB/GW COMMANDMIC adds full second-station control and intercom from a separate cabin or tower. IPX7 waterproofing and the AquaQuake draining function complete a capable, well-rounded radio.
