Description

The Panoptix PS70 is a stainless-steel thru-hull transducer powered by Garmin RapidReturn sonar, bringing live sonar to deep-sea fishing with views up to 305 m (1,000 ft) below the boat. Four modes cover every situation: LiveVu Down for real-time targets, Traditional sonar, Triple-Beam for a port, straight-down and starboard split, and RealVu 3D Historical for a scanned three-dimensional view. A wide 120-degree port-to-starboard by 8-degree bow-to-stern beam covers large areas of water, while 800 W of power, image stabilisation and a fast refresh rate keep the picture clear at depth. This version is supplied with a fairing block and mounting hardware so it can be fitted on hulls with deadrise angles from 0 to 20 degrees. It connects through an integrated Garmin BlueNet cable to a Garmin BlueNet chartplotter or BlueNet 20 switch, with legacy Garmin Marine Network chartplotters supported via an adapter cable.

How deep can the Panoptix PS70 see?
The PS70 provides live sonar views up to 305 m (1,000 ft) below the boat, which is what makes it suited to deep-sea fishing.
What sonar modes does the PS70 offer?
The PS70 offers four modes: LiveVu Down, Traditional sonar, Triple-Beam (a port, straight-down and starboard split) and RealVu 3D Historical, with a wide 120-degree by 8-degree beam.
What is the difference between this and the transducer-only PS70?
This version is supplied with a fairing block and mounting hardware, allowing installation on hulls with deadrise angles from 0 to 20 degrees. The transducer-only version is the same PS70 transducer without the fairing block, for flush or pocket mounting.
How does the PS70 connect to my chartplotter?
The PS70 has an integrated Garmin BlueNet cable that connects to a Garmin BlueNet chartplotter or BlueNet 20 switch. Legacy Garmin Marine Network chartplotters are supported using the Garmin Marine Network adapter cable. No separate black box is required.
Which hull types can the PS70 be fitted to?
The PS70 is a thru-hull transducer suitable for cored fibreglass, non-cored fibreglass and metal hulls. Isolation bushings are included for metal hulls, and the supplied fairing block accommodates deadrise angles up to 20 degrees.
