Description

The EmpirBus Connect 50 v2 packs the inputs, outputs and intelligence of a digital switching system into a single compact DC module. It connects directly to 12 V DC power on M6 bolts and controls and monitors a mix of input and output channels, driving loads with positive, half-bridge and window-wiper modes and per-channel software fusing.

Inputs can be configured as digital or analogue, reading switches, sensors and frequency signals, and on-unit LED indication and touch control allow channels to be read and overridden directly, including manual override and fuse reset. This is the non-isolated 12 V variant of the Connect 50 family, communicating through galvanically isolated CAN and RS485 interfaces; unlike the standard models it is not NMEA 2000 compliant, so it is intended for installations built around the EmpirBus CAN network. Up to six Connect 50 units can share a single network.

General

SystemEmpirBus digital switching (max 6 Connect-50 per network)
Is the Connect 50 v2 NMEA 2000 compliant?
No. This is the non-isolated 12 V variant of the Connect 50 family and is not NMEA 2000 compliant. It communicates through galvanically isolated CAN and RS485 interfaces, so it is intended for installations built around the EmpirBus CAN network.
How much current can the Connect 50 v2 switch?
The module delivers a total maximum output of 50 A, with per-channel software fuses configurable to 1, 5, 8 or 10 A, resettable on the unit.
Can I control channels directly on the unit?
Yes. This model has LED indication and touch control, allowing channel status to be read and channels to be manually overridden on or off, including software fuse reset, directly at the module.
How many Connect 50 units can be used together?
Up to six Connect 50 modules can be connected in the same network.
