Description

The EmpirBus Prog. Interface v2 is the programming bridge that lets an installer configure an EmpirBus digital switching system from a PC. It is used on systems that do not have an MCU fitted, acting as the link between a computer and the NMEA 2000 network so that programming can be transferred to the modules and the system accessed for setup and changes.

The interface connects to the PC over USB for use with EmpirBus Studio configuration software and draws its power from the NMEA 2000 network. Sharing the second-generation hardware platform, it also provides two galvanically isolated auxiliary CAN ports and two RS485 ports for connection to external devices. It is an essential commissioning and service tool for EmpirBus installations.
