Description
The Garmin inReach Messenger is a rugged satellite communicator built to keep you in touch when you leave mobile coverage behind. Using the global Iridium satellite network, it delivers two-way text messaging, location sharing, inReach weather forecasts and an interactive SOS to the Garmin Response coordination centre, staffed 24/7. An active satellite subscription is required.
Messenger pairs over Bluetooth with the Garmin Messenger app so you can text from your phone, and it can seamlessly relay messages between cellular and satellite so conversations keep flowing. A multi-GNSS chipset (GPS, Galileo, QZSS and BeiDou) with TracBack routing helps guide you back to your start point. The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 28 days in the default 10-minute tracking mode, the sunlight-readable monochrome display confirms messages on the device, and the unit is rated to IPX7.
