Description
The Garmin inReach Mini 2 is a compact, rugged satellite communicator that keeps you connected when you travel beyond mobile coverage. Using the global Iridium satellite network, it lets you send and receive text messages, share your location, download inReach weather forecasts and trigger an interactive SOS to the Garmin Response coordination centre, staffed 24/7. An active satellite subscription is required.
A multi-GNSS chipset (GPS, Galileo, QZSS and BeiDou) and the TracBack routing feature help guide you back to your start point, while pairing over Bluetooth with the Garmin Explore app adds maps, planning and easier messaging. The internal rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts up to 14 days in the default 10-minute tracking mode, or up to 30 days at 30-minute tracking. The sunlight-readable monochrome display stays clear in bright light and the unit is rated to IPX7.
