Garmin NMEA2000 Terminator Female
Pickup available at Mercury Yacht Harbour
Usually ready in 2-4 days
Description
Every NMEA 2000 network needs a terminating resistor at each end of its backbone to ensure reliable data communication, and this female terminator supplies the resistance for one of those ends. It threads onto a male connector at the extremity of the backbone, completing the electrical circuit so that data signals are not reflected back along the cable.
This is a female connector and pairs with a male field-side or tee connector. A correctly built network carries exactly two terminators, one at each end of the backbone, so plan your layout accordingly. The terminator is sold individually, allowing you to add only the connector gender your installation requires.
