Description
This is the radar pedestal, the rotating drive base, for the Garmin GMR Fantom 254 and 256 40W solid-state open-array radars. The antenna array and cable are not included, so it is intended as a replacement or service part for an existing Fantom 254/256 installation. Fit the matching Fantom 254 (4 ft) or 256 (6 ft) open array to complete the scanner.
The Fantom platform uses 40 W solid-state pulse-compression transmission with MotionScope Doppler processing to highlight moving targets. It detects out to 72 nautical miles, supports MARPA and dual-range, carries an 80 knot wind rating and connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters over the Garmin Marine Network.
