Description
This is the pedestal top assembly, the rotating drive base, for the Garmin GMR 1224 xHD2 open-array radar, also used with the GMR 1224xHD and 1226xHD. The antenna array and cable are not included, so it is intended as a replacement or service part for an existing 12 kW open-array installation. Fit a compatible GMR xHD2 4 ft or 6 ft open array to complete the scanner.
This magnetron pulse platform delivers 12 kW of peak power and detection out to 72 nautical miles, with antenna rotation at 24 and 48 rpm. It supports MARPA target tracking, dual-range viewing and dual-radar redundancy, and connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters through the Garmin Marine Network.
