Description
The Garmin GMR 434 xHD3 pairs proven magnetron performance with 4 kW of peak transmit power and a 4 ft open-array antenna, resolving targets clearly out to a maximum range of 72 nautical miles.
The xHD3 series introduces capabilities new to Garmin magnetron radar. Scan averaging filters out sea clutter for a cleaner image, target-size processing optimises the shape of detected objects, and true echo trails display the historical trail of moving boats so you can judge their course at a glance.
The open-array form factor combines a compact pedestal with the 4 ft array and rotates at 24 or 48 RPM, with dual-range scanning, radar overlay, guard zone and automatic bird gain. Commercial-grade weather performance includes an 80 kn wind rating (up to 100 kn with the optional voltage converter), BlueNet and Marine Network control from a Garmin chartplotter, and an IPX6 water rating.
