Description
The Garmin GMR Fantom 18x packs solid-state radar performance into a compact 18-inch radome. Using 50 W of CHIRP pulse-compression power, it delivers excellent target separation and detection from just 6 m out to 48 nautical miles, all without the warm-up time required by magnetron radars.
MotionScope Doppler technology uses the Doppler effect to detect and highlight moving targets in colour, helping you avoid collisions, locate flocks of birds and track approaching weather at a glance. A 5.2-degree horizontal beamwidth and antenna rotation of up to 60 RPM keep the radar picture crisp and fast to update.
The radome connects over Garmin BlueNet and Garmin Marine Network and is controlled entirely from a compatible Garmin chartplotter. Its weatherproof white thermoplastic housing is built for life on the water and operates across a wide temperature range.
