Garmin GT15M-IH In Hull Transducer 8 pin

Description
The Garmin GT15M-IH brings mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar to boats that benefit from an in-hull installation. By bonding inside a solid fibreglass hull, the transducer keeps reading accurately at high speed without the cavitation that can affect transom-mounted units, and it leaves the hull free of through-holes.
The 85 to 165 kHz frequency range delivers clear bottom definition and good target separation, with 600 W of power reaching to 549 m (1,800 ft.). The kit includes four tanks (0, 5, 12 and 20 degrees) so the transducer can be levelled to hull deadrise angles from 0 to 25 degrees, on solid fibreglass up to 16 mm (5/8 in.) thick. It connects to compatible Garmin chartplotters through an 8-pin connector.

General
| Transducer type | In-hull mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar transducer for high-speed boats; mounts inside a solid fibreglass hull |
Sonar
| Sonar technology | Mid-band CHIRP traditional sonar |
| Frequency | 85 to 165 kHz (dependent on the chartplotter or fishfinder model) |
| Transmit power (RMS) | 600 W |
| Maximum depth | 549 m (1,800 ft.), dependent on water conditions |
Beam
| Beam width | 24/13 degrees (low/high frequency, -3 dB) |
Mounting
| Mount type | In-hull mount inside a solid fibreglass hull (no transom hole required) |
| Supported deadrise angles | 0 to 25 degrees, using one of four supplied tanks (0, 5, 12 or 20 degrees) selected by hull deadrise |
| Hull requirements | Solid fibreglass hull only, up to 16 mm (5/8 in.) thick, with no dead air space or coring; mount as flat as possible near the keel and transom |
Physical
| Operating temperature range | 0 to 50°C (32 to 122°F) |
| Storage temperature range | -40 to 70°C (-40 to 158°F) |
Connectivity
| Connector | 8-pin Garmin transducer connector |
| Cable length | 6 m (20 ft.) |
Compatibility
| Compatible chartplotters and sounders | Compatible with Garmin chartplotters and fishfinders that support traditional CHIRP sonar, including STRIKER, ECHOMAP and GPSMAP series. Maximum depth and frequency support depend on the chartplotter model. Some pairings require a Garmin adapter cable (sold separately) |
