Description
The Garmin GPS 73 is a rugged handheld marine GPS designed for use as a primary or backup navigator on board. It tracks both the GPS and GLONASS satellite networks, with optional WAAS and EGNOS support, for fast and accurate position fixes, and provides waypoint, route and track navigation through a clear monochrome display and a simple button interface.
Built for the water, the GPS 73 floats and carries an IPX7 water rating, so it stays usable if dropped overboard. Marine-focused features include sail racing start-line guidance, tack assist and marine alarms, and it can connect to NMEA 0183 instruments for data such as wind and depth. Power comes from two widely available AA batteries.
