Description
This male inline terminator offers a neat way to finish an NMEA 2000 backbone where a device sits at the very end of the network. Rather than fitting a tee connector and a separate terminator, the inline terminator combines the connection and the termination resistance in a single fitting placed between the backbone cable and the device.
The result is a simpler, more compact installation at the network extremity, with fewer connectors and less clutter behind the dash. As with any NMEA 2000 network, the backbone must carry termination resistance at both ends, so use this fitting where it completes one end of your backbone.
