Description
The Garmin GPS 24xd is a high-sensitivity GPS antenna and receiver that delivers precise position and heading information to a compatible chartplotter over the NMEA 2000 network. Its multi-band GNSS receiver draws on GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou to fix your position to within 1 metre, while a fast 10 Hz update rate keeps track plots and velocity readings smooth and detailed.
An integrated magnetic heading sensor adds heading accuracy to within 3 degrees, stabilising charts, radar overlay and MARPA even at slow speed. Connection is plug-and-play using the supplied NMEA 2000 T-connector and 6 m drop cable, and the antenna presents a low load of just LEN 3. The fully gasketed plastic-alloy housing is rated to IPX6 and IPX7, mounts on a surface, a pole or under a fibreglass deck, and runs on 9 to 32 Vdc.
