Description
The Garmin GPSMAP 86s is a floating marine handheld that keeps essential boat data in the palm of your hand. Over ANT and Wi-Fi it streams readings such as depth, speed and wind from compatible Garmin chartplotters, so you can check conditions from the foredeck, the cockpit or the dinghy. The sunlight-readable 3-inch colour display, 3-axis compass and barometric altimeter make it a capable navigator in its own right.
An internal rechargeable battery delivers up to 40 hours of use, extending to 200 hours in expedition mode, and the unit is IPX7 waterproof and buoyant. A preloaded worldwide basemap, ActiveCaptain and BlueChart g3 compatibility and smart notifications round out a handheld that complements any Garmin marine system; the 86sc version adds preloaded BlueChart g3 coastal charts.
