Description
The Garmin OnDeck hub brings remote monitoring and control to your boat. Using its built-in cellular connection, it sends alerts and status to the ActiveCaptain app on your phone, so you can check battery voltage, shore power, security sensors, bilge activity and more from anywhere, and remotely switch connected items such as lights through optional relays. It connects to the boat NMEA 2000 network to monitor compatible NMEA 2000 devices and to the Garmin Marine Network to share data with compatible chartplotters.
Designed for permanent installation, the GTB 10 black box has a polycarbonate housing sealed to IPX7 and an internal backup battery that keeps the system reporting for around 48 hours if the main supply is interrupted. An external GPS antenna can be added where the internal antenna reception is poor. A subscription is required for cellular monitoring.
