Description
This Victron Phoenix package pairs a pure sine wave inverter with a built-in 70A mains battery charger, making it a MultiPlus Compact 12/1600/70 combined inverter and charger with an automatic transfer switch. On shore power it charges the batteries and passes mains through to your sockets; once disconnected it inverts the 12V battery bank back to clean 230V, switching over fast enough to keep equipment running without interruption.
Supplied by Hudson Marine ready-fitted with a one-metre DEFA extension cable, it drops straight into a DEFA based shore-power or interior-heater installation with no extra wiring. The unit delivers 1300W continuous (1600VA) with a 3000W surge, a high-output adaptive four-stage charger that maintains the house battery and trickle-charges a starter battery, and a VE.Bus port for remote control and monitoring. PowerControl and PowerAssist let it share or boost a limited shore supply.
