Description
The Kicker KMF12 is a 12-inch free-air marine subwoofer that brings deep, room-filling bass to your boat without a dedicated enclosure. The larger 12-inch cone moves more air than its 10-inch sibling for extra impact on the water, and its injection-moulded polypropylene cone, co-moulded Santoprene surround and UniPlate back plate and pole piece keep it composed at high output. It performs best with around 175 watts of clean amplifier power.
The KMF12 is engineered from the ground up for the marine environment. A corrosion-resistant polymer basket, thick tinsel leads, a large ceramic magnet and a protective terminal cap all help it shrug off sun and spray, and it meets or exceeds ASTM standards for UV and salt/fog exposure. Stainless steel mounting hardware and a rear gasket are included for a secure, sealed installation. This is the 4 ohm single voice coil version.
