Description

The Kicker KM84L is an 8-inch two-way coaxial marine speaker built for owners who want serious full-range output on deck. It combines a UV-treated polypropylene woofer with a 1-inch PEI dome tweeter for high sensitivity and strong low-end presence, then adds a seven-colour LED grille so the boat lights up to match the music.

Like every KM coaxial, the KM84L is engineered to thrive on the water. An IP66 rating, sealed motor structure, Santoprene surround and locking, sealed terminal covers keep sun, salt and spray at bay, while rustproof 316L stainless-steel hardware locks the install down. It meets or exceeds ASTM UV and salt/fog standards, ships as a pair with charcoal and white grilles, and the lighting upgrades to 20 colours and 19 modes with the optional Kicker KMLC controller.

How much power do these 8-inch speakers handle?
The KM84L is rated at 300 watts peak per pair and works best with around 150 watts RMS of clean amplifier power per channel.
Can I control the LED lighting?
Yes. The built-in seven-colour LED system can be expanded to 20 colours and 19 lighting modes using the optional Kicker KMLC lighting controller.
Will they fit my existing 8-inch cutouts?
They need a 6-9/16 inch (170 mm) cutout and 3-5/16 inch (82.9 mm) of mounting depth. A printable Kicker template is available to check clearance before you cut.
