Description
The Maretron WIF-RK30880-E Water In Fuel Detector indicates the presence of water in diesel fuel being monitored, giving early warning that a fuel filter needs to be drained before water reaches the engine. It is designed to work with the Maretron RIM100 Run Indicator Module: mounted on the bottom of a fuel filter, the detector provides a voltage when water is present, and the RIM100 reads this signal to trigger an alert or display an indicator on a compatible NMEA 2000 display.
The appropriate RIM100 switch channel is set to the enabled mode using a Maretron display or N2KAnalyzer software, after which water-in-fuel status is available anywhere on the network. This makes it a simple, effective addition to a diesel fuel-monitoring and maintenance strategy.
